We share with our friends some pictures from the basketball training program at Al-Hassan Al-Basri School in Al-Manara district in Amman. The program started several years ago and included males and females and training of trainers according to a scientific program that includes technical training, skills and sports ethics such as team spirit, fair competition, discipline and self-disciplined sports ethics.
Wings of Hope Society adopted this basketball court since the year 2010 by investing in the rehabilitation of this indoor court and carried out successive maintenance works in the past few years to make it a safe and suitable place for thousands of male and female students from the area to use; it is also approved by the Directorate of Education for tournaments and sports activities.
Athletics is on top of Wings of Hope Society’s objective, through sports trainings, we aim to empower youth, encourage physical fitness, and steer youth from harmful behaviors such as smoking, inactivity and consuming harmful foods.
An athlete in any home reflects his training and healthy behavior on his family, friends and community.
Our gratitude to Coach Marwan Matouk and his team at Hoopes for Hope Organization; Coach Marwan adopt these students and personally follows their technical and physical development.
One day we hope to see these players representing Jordan locally and internationally.
