Since its launch in 2005, WOH has held an annual basketball tournament in commemoration of Ayman Muasher, a beloved son, brother, and student whose love for the sport and immense sportsmanship inspired many people on and off the court. The tournament usually occurs over a weekend in the first quarter of the year at the Amman Baccalaureate School (ABS), Ayman’s alma mater. High school students from local government schools, private schools and international schools come together to participate in the event. Over the years, WOH has welcomed teams from Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and the United States of America. It also welcomed students from different public schools and governorates across Jordan that were part of a WOH-sponsored team. In addition to playing competitive and enjoyable basketball, Wings of Hope aims for the tournament to promote unity, sportsmanship and team work among players, coaches, and teams.

Wings of Hope Society (WOHS) is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of several Jordanian companies. Established in 2011, Wings of Hope is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered with Jordan’s Ministry of Social Development.
