Wings of Hope, in coordination with the Road Safety and Public Relations section of the Jordan Traffic Department, developed a plan to target schools in the suburbs of Amman, including Wadi Syr, Al Nasr, Shafa Badran, and Tabarbour, and train six to eight students at each school to become “traffic instructors.” These students are responsible for looking after young children as they arrive and depart the school.

They carry stop signs and assist the children with crossing the roads. The program also includes printing small color books with traffic signs for children. The Traffic Department team along with WOH was able to reach various schools to train different students and create interactive days with young children about road signs and road safety. WOH offered phosphoric vests to the supervisors, printed the color books and purchased colors. The Traffic Department professionals provided the training and recruitment of school students.
