AMMAN (June 24, 2026) — In a joint effort to support national environmental conservation and sustainable development, the Wings of Hope Society organized a field visit and volunteer day for employees of Jordan Ahli Bank to the Royal Botanic Garden (RBG) in Tal Al-Rumman.
The visit aimed to introduce the bank’s employees to the vital environmental mission of the RBG. Established in 2005, this premier national project focuses on preserving native Jordanian flora by documenting local plant species, mapping their habitats, and classifying rare or threatened vegetation. The Garden also houses a specialized seed bank dedicated to propagating endangered species and restoring natural habitats damaged by various environmental factors.
During the visit, the RBG team provided the attendees with a comprehensive briefing on the critical importance of protecting and documenting the Kingdom’s botanical heritage. Following the educational session, the volunteers toured the various sections of the Garden and actively participated in an environmental clean-up campaign along the banks of the King Talal Dam.
Demonstrating their shared commitment to environmental sustainability, the Wings of Hope Society, with the generous support of Jordan Ahli Bank, presented a donation to the Royal Botanic Garden. This contribution will be used to fund solar-powered lighting installations across the premises, supporting the Garden’s ongoing efforts to enhance its facilities for future visitors, researchers, students, and environmental enthusiasts.
