Press Release_Wings of Hope Pink October Activities

As part of its goals in promoting health awareness, Wings of Hope Society, in cooperation with the Jordan Breast Cancer Program and the King Hussein Cancer Center, carried out three awareness lectures accompanied by clinical breast examinations conducted by female doctors and nurses from the Jordan Breast Cancer Program team. The activities took place in Amman, Petra, and Wadi Rum.

During these sessions, health educators and nurses explained the importance of early detection of breast cancer and highlighted the high chances of recovery when the disease is discovered in its early stages.

Approximately 50 women from the General Secretariat of the Christian Youth attended the lecture held at the Amman Marriott Hotel, while 40 teachers from the Petra District participated in the second lecture hosted at the Petra Marriott Hotel. The third lecture took place at the Wadi Rum Women’s Association in Rum Village, with 30 local women in attendance.

The Society is committed to organizing such awareness sessions in coordination with the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, whose teams are available across the Kingdom, well-trained, and ready to provide education, answer inquiries, and conduct clinical examinations. The Society extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the program’s staff for their efforts and cooperation in spreading knowledge, empowering women, and encouraging them to undertake regular checkups and early screening — essential steps to ensure recovery and healing before the disease progresses, God forbid.
